Situated in the heart of Lake Country, BC, Peak Cellars Garden Bistro offers an exceptional culinary experience paired with award winning wines from our estate. Located amidst the stunning landscape of the Okanagan Valley, our bistro provides guests with breathtaking views and a warm, inviting atmosphere. We pride ourselves on using fresh, organic produce from our half acre on site culinary garden, two greenhouses and berry patch.

Role type:  Both full-time and part-time opportunities depending on candidate availability, contract, hourly

Reports To: Chef de Cuisine and/or Executive Chef

 

Position Summary

Reporting to the Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chef, the duties of a Dishwasher include maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to start or grow their career in the hospitality industry, within a fast-paced, collaborative, and fun environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment to maintain high hygiene standards.
  • Ensure the dishwashing area is organized and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Assist in keeping the kitchen and surrounding areas tidy and free from clutter.
  • Work efficiently with kitchen staff to ensure timely and clean service.
  • Dispose of waste and recycling according to restaurant protocols.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
  • Assist with other kitchen tasks as needed, such as food prep, or organizing storage areas.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Previous experience in a similar position is an asset, but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
